More Than Spanish Classes
Students receive Spanish as a second language classes plus fun courses on topics like astronomy, graphic design, programming, creative writing, drawing, cooking, and more – all in Spanish, for a full immersive experience.
Spanish Language + Culture
Exchange students usually attend classes in a foreign language where their classmates are locals who speak that language. It’s the same here (but online). Students will spend their days with kids from Chile, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Bolivia and other Spanish-speaking countries.

Who, specifically, is this Spanish immersion program for?
What do you mean by immersion?
According to a group of European researchers, there are four types of bilingual education: segregation, submersion, maintenance and immersion.
1. Segregation
In this modality, children receive most of their classes in their native language and the second language is taught during a few hours per week. The researchers call it segregation because the second language provides some kind of social status and those who are able to become fluent obtain more benefits than their classmates. In these schools, groups end up segregated between those «who are good in Spanish» and those «who don’t understand anything.»
2. Submersion
This model applies to foreign students that must study the different academic subjects in a second language they have never learned before. For example, an American student whose family moves to Mexico and enters school: she must study every subject in Spanish without having learned the language first.
Many of these students struggle with the second language because they don’t have the foundations for the new language and they have no guidance from teachers. To fix this, some schools have developed programs where classes are given in the original language and the second language is introduced gradually until it replaces the native language completely.
3. Maintenance of your native language and culture
These programs aim to preserve the language and culture of minority groups. They use the native language as the main vehicle for instruction and then incorporate the second language gradually. The curriculum is taught in both languages all the way through high school.
4. Immersion
In immersion programs, the second language is used to teach most or all of the subjects during one or more years. This teaching can begin at preschool or later, during elementary school or high school. Classes include students who only speak their native language.
Immersion programs are tailored to the needs of the students, helping them master the second language while being successful in their other subjects.
Studies have shown that only immersion and maintenance programs are successful in helping students become bilingual and bicultural. Unfortunately, segregation and submersion programs are not enough to help students become fluent and achieve good grades in their other subjects.
Our immersion program has been designed to do both.

Our goal is to provide the benefits of an international exchange program without the need to separate families and for an affordable price.
How long is the program and what format is it in?
There are three different options: 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months. Each 3-month period, students move to a different track (Technology, Entrepreneurship, or Arts).
- The format is live online classes via Zoom in small groups (around 12 students), Monday to Friday from 8:20 am to 12:40 pm Central Time.
- Every day is divided into 5 periods: 2 Spanish as a second language periods, and 3 specific-subject periods.
How much does it cost?
The investment is US $825 for 3-months (~300 hours of instruction — that’s $2.75 per hour!).
